Dear Diary,
You won’t believe the crazy things that have been happening in my life lately! It all started with a construction joint venture agreement that my dad got involved in. He thought it would be a great way to make some money, but it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth!
Then, my neighbor Mrs. Jenkins got into a huge legal battle with Regas Contracting LC over a botched construction project. I couldn’t believe the drama that was unfolding right in my own neighborhood!
And to top it all off, my parents have been binge-watching Law and Order: SVU on Amazon Prime Canada. They keep trying to involve me in their legal drama obsession, but I’m just not that into it!
But the real kicker came when we had to hire a contractor to fix our leaky roof. I had no idea that there were so many legal guidelines and tips for checking contractor compliance. It was like we needed a lawyer just to have someone fix our roof!
And don’t even get me started on the time I accidentally stumbled upon some information about Botswana privacy laws while doing research for a school project. I never thought privacy laws could be so interesting!
Oh, and did you know that some people on SSDI are eligible for a tax refund? I had no idea until I overheard my mom talking about it on the phone. Who knew that disability benefits could be so complicated?
And just when I thought I couldn’t take any more legal mumbo jumbo, I had to sit through a lecture about the law of mass action in chemistry class. I guess the law really is everywhere!
On top of all that, I had to help my dad upload Form 16 in the ITR portal for some tax-related stuff. I felt like I was practically a legal expert by the time I was done!
And to think, all of this legal drama was happening while I was trying to navigate the treacherous waters of middle school. It’s a wonder I didn’t turn into a legal expert by the end of it all!
Until next time,
Greg
